The Tarbeeya Project is an exciting opportunity that seeks to provide students and the local community the opportunity to engage in Islamic studies through weekly classes, lectures, workshops, interactive Q&A sessions and much more.
Through these classes we aim to foster a growing community of students and locals alike who strive to live in accordance with the principles of Islam. The aim of the Tarbeeya project is to enable a student to have a transformative experience with their faith, not just an educational experience.
هُوَ ٱلَّذِی بَعَثَ فِی ٱلۡأُمِّیِّۧنَ رَسُولا مِّنۡهُمۡ یَتۡلُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ءَایَٰتِهۦِ وَیُزَكِّیهِمۡ وَیُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ...
(Surat Al-Jumu'ah 2)
"It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His (Gods) verses, to make them grow spiritually and teach them the Scripture and wisdom."
Thereby we learn from this ayah the order we engage in our Islamic development:
1. Tazkiya (spiritual growth) and Tarbiya (spiritual development) are our first priority and we aim to enhance ourselves on a spiritual level.
2. We follow this spiritual purification with learning and the seeking of knowledge.
3. Reflection upon knowledge develops wisdom, which ultimately leads to the embodiment of the teaching which have been presented to us.
